About Kindy Tree
Welcome
I run the Kindy Tree from my home just outside Nailsworth. It is housed in a log cabin in my beautiful large garden of about a third of an acre. Surrounded by farmland, Jacob sheep and other animals regularly come to see what’s going on over the fence! We also have some friendly resident ducks.
We provide a balance of activities such as crafts, music with singing and movements, stories, gardening, walks, but also plenty of time for child led free play.
We have a special relationship with The Acorn School (half a mile away: https://theacornschool.com) which enables us to participate in some of their seasonal festivals and activities and interact with some of the older children occasionally.

Fees
£7.00 per hour.
I am registered as an Approved Provider with Gloucestershire County Council so can offer free places for Early Years funded entitlements (up to 15 hours per week) and extended entitlements (up to 30 hours per week).

Opening Times
We are open Monday–Thursday during term time.
Morning sessions are 9.00am–12.30pm.
Optional lunch and afternoon care until 3.00pm.

My inspiration for providing an early years setting comes from growing up on a farm where I experienced a healthy balance of work and freedom to play in nature. I have 12 years of experience working as a Steiner kindergarten teacher. Before that I did art therapy, pottery and gardening.
